Serverless Layers is a Serverless Framework plugin that implements AWS Lambda Layers to reduce Lambda function size, warm-up time, and deployment time by automatically attaching shared layers to functions and reusing dependencies across functions. It's designed for developers using Serverless Framework who want to optimize their AWS Lambda deployments by sharing common libraries and dependencies through layers rather than packaging them with each function.
