The @paper-db/orbit-db package is a fork of the original OrbitDB library that has been adapted for use with PaperDB. It updates the database to work with js‑ipfs v0.41 and changes how the DB’s manifest is stored—using `ipfs.add` (dag‑pb + UnixFS) so the manifest can be retrieved through public IPFS gateways. This is aimed at developers building decentralized applications that need a PaperDB‑compatible, IPFS‑friendly document store.
