localstorage‑down provides a LevelDB‑compatible backend for the Level ecosystem that stores data in the browser’s LocalStorage (falling back to an in‑memory store when LocalStorage isn’t available). It lets web applications—especially intermittently‑connected or peer‑to‑peer clients—use the familiar LevelDB API (via levelup/abstract‑leveldown) directly in any browser that supports LocalStorage.
