The **js‑IPFS** repository is a complete JavaScript implementation of the IPFS protocol that provides a Node/Browser library, a CLI daemon, and a suite of modules (HTTP API, gRPC server, etc.) for embedding peer‑to‑peer file storage and content‑addressed data in applications. Although it has been superseded by **Helia**, it remains useful for developers who need an easy‑to‑integrate IPFS core engine for research, decentralized apps, or prototype projects.
