1tp is a Node‑compatible library that provides a single “net‑like” socket API which automatically selects the cheapest available transport—UDP, TCP, TURN, WebRTC, etc.—to connect two endpoints, even across NATs or mobile networks. It is aimed at developers who need transparent, stream‑based communication for servers, desktop, Chrome or Cordova apps without handling the underlying transport details themselves.
