happn‑3 is a lightweight, real‑time data store and pub/sub engine for Node.js (and browsers) that lets you persist JSON objects on hierarchical paths, query them with wildcards, and subscribe to change events over websockets or in‑process sockets. It provides a modular server‑side service (with optional MongoDB/NEDB persistence and pluggable protocols like MQTT) and a client API for setting, getting, publishing, searching, incrementing and listening to data, aimed at developers building collaborative, event‑driven applications that need a Firebase‑like backend without the vendor lock‑in.
