Ferrum Doctest is a Node‑JS utility that extracts code examples from JSDoc comments and markdown files, turns them into executable test files, and runs them with any test runner you configure (e.g., Mocha, Jasmine). It lets library authors automatically verify that documentation snippets stay syntactically correct and functional, saving the effort of writing duplicate tests. The tool is aimed at JavaScript developers who maintain SDKs, libraries, or any project with code examples in its documentation.
