Commitizen is a command-line tool that prompts contributors to follow commit message conventions at commit time, providing instant feedback on commit message formatting. It's designed for project maintainers who want to standardize commit messages across their repositories and for contributors who want to easily create properly formatted commit messages without memorizing complex conventions.
