**supertest-as-promised** was a library that enhanced [SuperTest](https://github.com/visionmedia/supertest) by adding native Promise support, allowing developers to write cleaner, more readable test code using promise chaining instead of nested callbacks. It was designed for Node.js developers writing integration tests for HTTP servers who wanted to leverage modern async/await patterns and promise-based test runners like Mocha or Jest. However, since SuperTest v2.0.0 added native Promise support, this library is now deprecated and users should migrate directly to SuperTest.
