Hydrogen is an interactive coding extension that lets developers run Python, R, JavaScript and other Jupyter kernels inline within Atom (or its successors), providing real‑time execution, rich media rendering, variable inspection, and easy notebook export. It’s aimed at data scientists, researchers, and engineers who want an interactive, Light‑Table‑style workflow for writing and experimenting with code directly inside their editor.
