SPM is a static package manager designed for browser-based projects, providing tools to manage and package static assets. It was primarily used by developers working on front-end applications, particularly in the Chinese open-source community, before transitioning to rely on npm for package management from version 3.9 onward. The tool is now deprecated for lifecycle management but remains available under the MIT License.
