`win-spawn` is a small Node.js utility that wraps `child_process.spawn` so that scripts (especially JavaScript files) can be spawned reliably on both Windows and Unix‑like systems. It detects Windows, explicitly invokes the Node executable, and parses inline environment‑variable assignments, making it useful for developers who need cross‑platform spawning of Node scripts without writing OS‑specific code. (The package is now deprecated in favor of `cross-spawn`.)
