gray‑matter‑es is a lightweight, ESM‑only rewrite of the popular **gray‑matter** library that parses and stringifies front‑matter blocks in text files. It’s aimed at modern JavaScript/TypeScript projects—especially those that run in browsers or need tree‑shakable, zero‑dependency modules—by providing the same API without CommonJS, using a bundled YAML parser and full TypeScript typings.
