This Hardhat plugin provided zero-configuration TypeScript type generation for smart contracts, enabling type-safe interactions in tests and frontend code. It was designed for Solidity developers using TypeScript who wanted automatic contract bindings via TypeChain. The project has since been merged into the official TypeChain package as `@typechain/hardhat`, with all functionality now maintained there.
