**counteraction** is a lightweight JavaScript library that implements the numbering algorithms behind CSS `list-style-type` and `@counter-style`. It provides ready‑to‑use renderers for the standard list styles (e.g., lower‑roman, decimal‑leading‑zero) as well as the more complex counter‑system types (alphabetic, additive, cyclic, etc.), allowing developers to convert numeric values into the exact strings CSS would produce. The package is aimed at web developers and tooling authors who need to generate or validate CSS counter values programmatically.
