This project is a developer preview of a MetaMask extension that integrates a Filecoin plugin, allowing developers to test and build applications that interact with the Filecoin network. The project is intended for developers who want to experiment with Filecoin functionality within the MetaMask ecosystem, and provides a prototype implementation of the MetaMask Snaps plugin system. It's designed for use on Chromium browsers and includes a preinstalled Filecoin snap that enables developers to manage Filecoin keys and interact with decentralized applications (dapps).
