The **@fidm/asn1** package provides a lightweight, pure‑JavaScript implementation of ASN.1/DER encoding, decoding and PEM handling for Node.js. It lets developers parse, construct and manipulate X.509 certificates, private keys and other ASN.1 structures (e.g., PKCS#1/PKCS#8) directly in their server‑side or tooling code. It’s aimed at Node developers who need cryptographic format support without native dependencies.
