OpenAPI Typescript Codegen is a Node.js tool that reads an OpenAPI (v2 or v3) spec (JSON/YAML) and generates ready‑to‑use TypeScript (or JavaScript) client libraries, supporting multiple HTTP back‑ends such as fetch, Axios, XHR, Node‑fetch and Angular. It’s aimed at frontend or full‑stack developers who want a lightweight, framework‑agnostic way to auto‑create typed API clients without using Java‑based code generators. (The project is now deprecated in favor of the actively‑maintained **@hey‑api/openapi‑ts** fork.)
