ethereumjs‑connect is a small Node‑/browser library that streamlines the initial setup for talking to an Ethereum node: it discovers the network ID, coinbase address, and optionally wires up contract ABIs so they can be used with the **ethrpc** library. It’s meant for developers building JavaScript applications (especially those using Augur’s contracts) who need a quick way to configure RPC/IPC/WebSocket connections and automatically populate transaction “from” fields. (The package is now deprecated.)
