The waste-movement-backend is an internal service for DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking Service that provides data persistence for waste receipt movements using MongoDB. It manages waste tracking data, maintains change history, tracks invalid submissions, and provides organizational validation through API codes. This service is designed to be called by the waste-movement-external-api service and is not directly accessible to external clients.
