CV Scan Backend is a rule-based NLP engine for analyzing and scoring candidate resumes against job descriptions. Built with Node.js, Fastify, and PostgreSQL, it provides APIs for uploading CVs, managing job descriptions with automatic skill extraction, and scoring resumes across five categories (skills, experience, education, achievements, and relevance) using local NLP processing without external APIs. The system is designed for recruiters and HR teams who need fast, deterministic resume screening without API costs, processing each CV in under 50ms using TF-IDF, fuzzy matching, and regex-based extraction.
