Cuid2 is a secure, collision-resistant ID generator optimized for horizontal scaling and performance in modern distributed applications. It combines multiple entropy sources including time, random values, counters, and host fingerprints, then hashes them with a NIST-standard cryptographically secure algorithm to produce URL-friendly IDs that are practically impossible to guess or collide.
