node‑websql provides a drop‑in implementation of the (now‑deprecated) WebSQL Database API for Node.js by wrapping SQLite3 (via the node‑sqlite3 driver). It lets developers run existing WebSQL‑compatible code—such as legacy browser apps or tests—outside the browser (or in bundled front‑end builds) without changing their database calls. The library is aimed at Node/JavaScript developers who need to emulate WebSQL locally or in server‑side environments.
