simple‑changelog is a Node.js library that generates a Markdown‑formatted changelog for a given version by extracting and grouping public commits that follow the conventional‑commit (semantic) format. It’s aimed at developers who want an automated way to produce clean release notes for GitHub releases, with a fallback mode that can include a configurable number of recent non‑semantic commits when needed.
