The **appium-android-bootstrap** repository provides the now‑deprecated npm wrapper for the Java “androidBootstrap” library that Appium used to drive Android UIAutomator tests. It was originally aimed at developers building Appium‑based automation for Android devices, but its functionality has been merged into the newer **appium-android-driver** and the package should no longer be used.
