The **buildmail** package provides a low‑level API for constructing and streaming MIME‑formatted e‑mail messages in Node.js. It was used internally by Nodemailer to assemble email bodies (including attachments, alternative parts, etc.), but the project is now deprecated and no longer maintained, with users advised to switch to newer alternatives.
