This project is a deprecated web component for creating material design input fields with chips, allowing users to select and display multiple values as interactive chips. It was designed for developers building web applications using Polymer and web components, offering features like icon support, suggestions, and customizable value identifiers. Users are directed to use the newer [anypoint-chip-input](https://github.com/anypoint-web-components/anypoint-chip-input) instead.
