The **elastic‑apm‑http‑client** is a low‑level Node.js library that streams and compresses Elastic APM “intake” data (spans, transactions, errors, metricsets) to an APM Server via its HTTP API. It’s intended for developers building custom APM agents or integrations that need to send telemetry to Elastic APM, rather than end‑users who just want to instrument an application. (The code has since been merged into the official `elastic/apm-agent-nodejs` repo.)
