Node‑IPware is a small Node.js library that extracts the real client IP address (and whether it’s publicly routable) from incoming HTTP requests, handling proxies, trusted‑proxy lists and a configurable header precedence. It’s aimed at developers building Express‑style servers who need a reliable, DRY way to obtain the user’s IP for logging, security checks, or geo‑lookup.
