FileSaver.js provides a lightweight polyfill for the HTML5 W3C `saveAs()` FileSaver API, enabling client‑side file downloads (text, blobs, canvas images, etc.) in browsers that lack native support. It is aimed at web developers building web‑apps that need to generate or locally save files without sending data to a server, and works across most modern browsers (with fallbacks for older ones).
