BestImage is a Node‑JS library that extracts the most suitable image from a web page given its URL and an optional query describing the desired content. It scores images using meta tags, page titles and a customizable algorithm, then returns the chosen image’s URL (or lets you supply your own scoring function). The package is aimed at developers who need to automatically select representative thumbnails or preview images for URLs in applications such as link previews, content aggregators, or social‑media tools.
