`@stdlib/number-float64-base-from-int64-bytes` provides a single function that reads an 8‑byte signed‑integer representation (as a `Uint8Array`) and converts it to a JavaScript double‑precision floating‑point number, handling optional stride and offset indexing and assuming the host’s endianness. It is aimed at developers doing low‑level numerical or scientific computing in JavaScript/Node.js who need to interpret 64‑bit integer byte buffers as IEEE‑754 floating‑point values.
