The sparticuz/chromium project delivers a stripped‑down, server‑less‑optimized Chromium binary (and related assets) that can be used with Puppeteer‑Core or Playwright in AWS Lambda (or comparable FaaS) environments, allowing headless browser automation without pulling in full Chrome builds. It is aimed at developers who need a lightweight, pre‑built Chromium executable for running web‑scraping, testing, or PDF‑generation workloads in Lambda or other serverless platforms.
