Mocha styled tests with built in assertions and Sinon
Macchiato is a lightweight, behavior‑driven testing framework that blends Mocha‑style `describe`/`it` syntax with its own built‑in assertion library (backed by the Certain library) and a sandboxed Sinon environment for spies, stubs and mocks. It lets developers write clean, isolated tests—either with the modern `.it()` callbacks that expose a test context (`t`) or the classic nested `describe.it` style—using a single CLI tool that runs tests written in plain JavaScript. It’s aimed at JavaScript/Node.js developers who want a simple, extensible test runner that combines expressive assertions and powerful mocking without pulling in larger frameworks like Mocha or Jasmine.
