Microbe (µ) is a lightweight JavaScript library for modern browsers (IE 10+) that provides fast, jQuery‑style DOM selection and manipulation, custom event handling, promise‑based HTTP helpers, and data‑binding utilities. It is aimed at front‑end developers who want a modular, chainable API for tasks such as element selection, class/attribute updates, inserting nodes, and emitting user‑defined events without pulling in a larger framework. (The project is now archived and no longer maintained.)
