The libre‑draw project is a lightweight, zero‑configuration React‑style library that adds polygon‑drawing, editing, and GeoJSON import/export capabilities to any MapLibre GL JS map, offering a built‑in toolbar, undo/redo, touch‑friendly gestures, self‑intersection protection, and a headless API mode. It’s aimed at developers who need to let end‑users interactively create and modify map‑bounded polygons—such as GIS apps, mapping dashboards, or mobile GIS tools—whether they work in vanilla JavaScript or with popular UI frameworks.
