Metalsmith-templates is a plugin for the Metalsmith static site generator that allows users to render files using templates. It is primarily intended for developers working with Metalsmith who want to incorporate templating into their static site generation workflow. However, note that this plugin is now deprecated and has been split into two separate plugins: metalsmith-layouts for rendering templates inside nested layouts, and metalsmith-in-place for rendering individual files through a templating engine.
