node‑xdg‑parse is a small Node.js library that parses configuration files following the Freedesktop XDG desktop entry specification. It reads the file contents into a JavaScript object, supports locale‑specific entries (e.g., `Name[fr]`), and can serialize the object back to text (though comments and blank lines are lost). The module is aimed at developers who need to read or manipulate XDG‑style .desktop, .ini, or other desktop configuration files in JavaScript/Node environments.
