mdextract is a Node‑CLI tool that scans source files for JSDoc‑style `/** … */` comments containing Markdown and extracts them into standalone documentation files. It’s aimed at JavaScript developers who want to keep their API docs or README sections directly alongside the code and easily generate or update markdown docs from those inline comments.
