**Synaptic Neural Mesh** is an ambitious open-source project that aims to create a distributed neural network ecosystem, transforming devices into intelligent nodes within a globally connected "brain." Built with Rust and TypeScript, it combines quantum-resistant P2P networking, lightweight neural networks compiled to WebAssembly, and swarm intelligence to enable decentralized AI that's more resilient and efficient than traditional monolithic models. The project is currently in early development, offering prototype implementations of distributed cognition concepts, with features like the Synaptic Market for peer-to-peer AI capacity sharing and integration with Claude Code through a native MCP server.
