Built on Obyte

direct‑io is a Node.js library that provides cross‑platform helpers for performing true‑direct I/O on block devices and regular files. It abstracts low‑level details such as opening files with O_DIRECT/O_DSYNC/O_SYNC, creating sector‑aligned buffers, querying device geometry, and acquiring mandatory or advisory locks, making it useful for system‑level or storage‑engine developers who need high‑performance, cache‑bypassing disk access on FreeBSD, Linux, macOS, and Windows.
