gulp‑sharp is an unmaintained Gulp plugin that plugs the high‑performance Sharp (a libvips binding) into a Gulp pipeline to resize, crop, rotate, convert and otherwise process image files during a build. It’s aimed at front‑end developers or build engineers who want to automate image optimisation (JPEG/PNG/WebP/TIFF) as part of their Node/Gulp workflow.
