Raspberry Pi Zero 2W Internet-of-Things (IoT) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Framework
The **saasmvp-iot** project is a work-in-progress reference implementation that demonstrates how an Internet-of-Things (IoT) device behind a firewall can communicate with a web server on the public Internet. It serves as a foundation for building Minimally Viable Product (MVP) IoT Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, using Node.js, Express, JavaScript, REST APIs, and WebSockets on both the IoT device and the Endpoint Server. The reference implementation uses a low-cost Raspberry Pi Zero 2W as the IoT device, which sends temperature readings to the Endpoint Server once per second, and allows the Endpoint Server's browser dashboard to send messages to the IoT device to change the temperature scale. The software also maintains connectivity between the IoT device and the Endpoint Server in case of power or communications interruption.
