**code-fingerprint** is a tiny Node.js library that generates a stable, base‑64‑encoded SHA‑256 “fingerprint” for a piece of JavaScript source code. By minifying the code with Terser first, the fingerprint ignores differences in comments, whitespace, formatting, and identifier names, making it useful for detecting essentially identical code snippets (e.g., in plagiarism detection, code deduplication, or caching). It’s intended for developers who need a quick, experimental way to compare JavaScript code for functional similarity.
