The **wkt-parser** project is a standalone library extracted from proj4, designed to parse WKT (Well-Known Text) formats, including WKT1, WKT2, and PROJJSON. It is primarily intended for developers working with geospatial data who need to handle coordinate reference system (CRS) definitions in various WKT formats. However, it currently does not support geocentric coordinate systems (`GEOCCS`) and has limited support for compound coordinate systems (`COMPOUNDCS`) in WKT1.
