The **simple‑invariant** package provides a minimal assertion helper for Node.js (and browsers) that throws an `Error` when a condition is falsy, letting developers replace verbose `if (!cond) throw …` checks with a concise `invariant(cond, message)` call. It’s aimed at JavaScript developers who want a tiny, production‑safe invariant function (unlike some alternatives that strip messages in production) and works with all actively maintained Node versions.
