The stun package is a Node.js implementation of the Session Traversal Utilities for NAT (STUN) protocol, allowing developers to create STUN clients and servers to traverse network address translators (NATs) and discover public IP addresses. It provides a low-level API for sending and receiving STUN messages, supporting RFC5389 and partial support for RFC5766, RFC5245, and RFC5780, making it suitable for developers building WebRTC applications or other peer-to-peer networking solutions.
