Libarchivejs is a WebAssembly‑based wrapper around the C libarchive library that lets web and Node.js applications create and extract a wide range of archive formats (ZIP, 7‑Zip, RAR, TAR, etc.) and compressions (gzip, bzip2, LZMA, …). It provides an ES‑module API backed by a WebWorker for heavy‑duty processing, making it suitable for front‑end developers who need fast, client‑side archive handling as well as Node developers who want a lightweight, near‑native solution.
