MySQL Connector/Node.js is an officially‑supported MySQL 8 driver for Node.js that implements the X DevAPI, allowing JavaScript applications to interact with MySQL’s Document Store using CRUD‑style, NoSQL operations over the X Protocol. It is aimed at Node.js developers who need a native, Oracle‑maintained library for accessing MySQL 5.7+/8.0 databases (including the document store) from their server‑side JavaScript code.
