`connect-api-mocker` is a Connect/Express middleware that turns a directory of JSON (or other) files into a mock REST API, letting developers run frontend or integration tests without a real backend. It works with many development servers (Connect, Express, BrowserSync, lite‑server, webpack‑dev‑server, CRA, etc.) and supports custom response scripts, wildcards, XML, body‑parsing and logging, making it ideal for frontend engineers and test setups that need fast, file‑based API stubs.
